Submission of camera-ready papers and posters

Submission will open April 10th 2006 on the usual website (confmaster). An email to authors will be sent in the next days.

The (hard) submission deadline is moved forward to Friday, April 21 at 23:59 PDT.

The copyright transfer form to be used is linked here, for your convenience.

Submission, double submission policy, etc.

Both papers describing real-world research and papers dealing with strong theoretical results are welcome, as well as combinations thereof. We also encourage the submission of high-quality overview articles for any field related to the general scope of RoboCup, especially the ones listed above. The proceedings of the RoboCup Symposium are published within the Springer LNAI series.
All submissions to the International Symposium are automatically entered in the selection process for the RoboCup "Best Paper Award", which recognizes outstanding research within a field related to the scope of the Symposium.
If the primary author of a paper is a student, then the paper will automatically be entered into the selection process for the "Best Student Paper Award".
By submitting to the RoboCup Symposium, authors are declaring that their work has not already been submitted for publication elsewhere (in any form: conference, workshop, journal, etc.) and that it will not be submitted until they are notified about the results of the RoboCup reviewing process.
Papers will be blind-reviewed, i.e. information which could allow identification of the author/s has to be cut away for the submission. Of course, such information will be restored in full in the papers accepted for publication.

Paper preparation

Submitted papers should follow the Springer LNAI format and are limited to 12 pages. Instructions for formatting can be found at: http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. Papers will be submitted electronically via ConfMaster. The electronic submission process requires a PDF file of the full paper, and the separate submission of an abstract.
  1. be sure to download and use the style files for your paper preparation system from the following website http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html
  2. the .zip of the files (llncs.cls and splncs.bst and other) for the (strongly recommended) latex2e system is linked here for your convenience
  3. prepare your paper, paying attention to the page limit, as it were a camera-ready version
  4. when you are ready, carefully re-edit your paper masking out ANY hint which could allow a reviewer to identify the author(s)
  5. "masking out" means substituting the piece of information with something like "deleted for blind review"
  6. leaving author-identifying pieces of information in your paper entitles us to delete your submission without revisions
  7. examples of author-identifying hints could be:
    1. name, surnames research group name, institution name of authors of the paper
    2. name, surnames research group name, institution name of the authors of referred literature items
